About Bagitman

Play Bagitman online in your browser. Guide the miner through dangerous shafts, collect money bags, and avoid guards in this classic Amiga arcade platformer.

The game is structured around three-screen sequences that repeat as you progress deeper. This layout requires you to memorize enemy patterns and platform positions quickly. You are not alone in these tunnels, however. Armed guards patrol the shafts with intent to stop you. You can use your trusty pickaxe to stun them temporarily or drop a heavy money bag directly on their heads for a satisfying takedown.

One of the most critical mechanics in Bagitman is weight management. When you pick up a money bag, you can only carry one at a time. This added weight significantly slows your movement speed, making you vulnerable to faster threats. You must decide whether to rush back to the wheelbarrow with a quick deposit or risk staying longer to find better loot. There is a special heavy money bag worth more points hidden in a blocked-off room in the middle screen, but reaching it requires careful planning.

The environment itself is hostile. Ore carts race along tracks that you must dodge or cling to the ceiling to avoid. Elevators move up and down, creating dynamic obstacles that can crush you if you are not quick enough. The tension comes from balancing your need for speed with the necessity of avoiding these mechanical hazards.

Bagitman supports two players simultaneously, allowing you and a friend to tackle the mines together. This co-op mode adds a layer of chaos and cooperation, as you must coordinate your movements to avoid colliding with each other while still managing the guards and carts. The game is based on the arcade classic Bagman, but it offers its own distinct Amiga flair with smooth scrolling and challenging level design.

Success in Bagitman relies on pattern recognition. Learn where the guards patrol, when the ore carts appear, and how long the elevators stay open. The game feels like a high-stakes heist where every second counts. If you can master the rhythm of collecting, running, and hiding, you will find yourself drawn into its addictive gameplay loop.
